Holmes MS Newsletter - April 17, 2025

Please take note of schedule adjustments for 8th grade Holmes students who attend classes at Coronado High School due to upcoming CMAS and Coronado Testing. These adjustments have been approved by administration, and coordinated by Katie Doyle (High School Counselor), and Tara Falslev (Holmes Counselor).
Holmes CMAS Testing: Week of April 7-11
- Spanish students will attend class. Coronado will provide computers for them in the morning, which they will be able to log into without issue.
- Geometry students will not attend class this week.
Coronado Testing Time: April 14-17
- Spanish students will attend Spanish class ONLY on Friday, April 18th, at Coronado. There will be no classes taught at Coronado from Tuesday, April 15th, through Thursday, April 17th.
- Geometry students will not attend class at Coronado. The teacher will provide independent work to be completed at Holmes during the first-period time. Students should not arrive early to school but instead complete the work during the scheduled first period.

Hawks Help- Chipotle Fundraiser April 9th
Support Hawks Help at Chipotle Night! 🌮
Join us on April 9th from 5 PM – 7 PM at Chipotle for a special fundraiser benefiting Hawks Help—our program dedicated to assisting families facing financial hardships.
This year alone, Hawks Help has supported 40 families during the holidays, provided new school shoes, and covered bus passes for those in need. Your support ensures we can continue making a difference in our community.
How to Help: Simply dine at Chipotle during the event, and a portion of the proceeds will go directly to Hawks Help.

Congratulations To Ava Hull
Congratulations to Ava Hull for an outstanding speech and being one of the Top Four youth selected for the Jr. Youth of the Year Nominee of the Pikes Peak Boys and Girls Club.

Girl's Hybrid Softball
Boys Soccer Sign-ups
Boys soccer will start April 14th. Sign-ups will be in the front office starting April 1st. If you want to sign your student up we will need the following:
-D11 Participation form signed by parent and student
-Blue Card in case of emergency
-Physical completed by Doctor
-$10
-Soccer sign-up sheet from the front office
You can turn in your physical/ D11 paper work anytime, but we will not be able to accept payment and soccer sign-up sheets until April 1st.
