Five Good Things in Spring

We've said it before, but it’s always worth saying again: in Spring ISD, choice meets opportunity! Recently, we hosted an exciting School of Choice Showcase where students and families got a firsthand look at the incredible range of specialized programs and schools within the district. Held at Dekaney High School, the fair-style gathering featured displays, informative booths, and staff from each school available to answer questions and guide attendees through the unique academic pathways Spring ISD has to offer. Parents and students were able to engage with faculty, learn about curriculum options, and find the best fit to support their goals. ✨Reminder: School of Choice applications are now open! Don’t miss the middle school tours on November 16, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

A huge shoutout to our unstoppable Spring Westfield Mustangs for bringing home the District 14-6A championship title! With big wins over Nimitz high school and Benjamin Davis high school, the Mustangs are battle-tested. From intense practices to thrilling Friday night games, they’ve inspired Mustang pride every step of the way. Now, as they gear up to tackle the playoffs, let’s rally behind them and show our support for this amazing team. On Friday, they take the field against College Park in a thrilling bi-district matchup. Good luck to Westfield football team!🐴

Big congratulations to our Spring ISD High School Bands for an incredible marching season! These talented students have poured their hearts into every practice, every performance, and it showed on the field. All three bands—@dekaneybluelgion, @springhighband, and @westfieldbigredband—made their mark at the Area F Marching Contest on Saturday, November 2nd, and we couldn’t be prouder. Special congratulations to Spring High School for advancing to the Finals—way to go, Lions! Dekaney High School’s Law Pathway students recently stepped into the world of real-life investigations with a hands-on field trip to the City of Houston Municipal Courts Department! Students explored the processes used by forensic experts, learned about the science behind solving cases, and saw firsthand how investigations unfold. This unique experience offered them valuable insights into the criminal justice field, sparking curiosity and inspiring future careers. Take a look here!👮
