Schedule is Your Lifeline
At our recent Eagle Scholars meetings, we emphasized to the students how a well-structured schedule can make a huge difference in managing both academic responsibilities and personal time. We encouraged students to map out their days and weeks to boost productivity, lower stress, and make room for what matters most—whether it’s schoolwork, family time, or their own interests. A consistent schedule helps them stay on top of their goals and navigate the challenges of high school with greater ease. (see sample schedule in photo)

Middle School Homework Clinic
The Eagle Scholars Homework Clinic returns this year, starting Monday, October 7th, in Room 5C. It will run on Mondays and Thursdays from 3:10-4:10 pm. A late bus will be available for bus riders; others will need to arrange a ride or walk home.
The clinic offers a space for students to catch up on late assignments, complete homework, or ask questions. A teacher will be present to assist, though it’s not one-on-one tutoring due to the typical group size of 15-20 students.
No sign-up is needed—just drop in! Homework Clinic runs through May, unless otherwise noted. Contact Ms. Wilson with any questions.

Thoughts From A Smart Person
Writer and philosopher Robert Pirsig on enjoying the journey:
“Mountains should be climbed with as little effort as possible and without desire. The reality of your own nature should determine the speed. If you become restless, speed up. If you become winded, slow down. You climb the mountain in an equilibrium between restlessness and exhaustion. Then, when you’re no longer thinking ahead, each footstep isn’t just a means to an end but a unique event in itself. This leaf has jagged edges. This rock looks loose. From this place the snow is less visible, even though closer. These are things you should notice anyway. To live only for some future goal is shallow. It’s the sides of the mountain which sustain life, not the top. Here’s where things grow.”
