Students, always remember that your teachers are here to help you with any of your content. If you have questions or need assistance, do not hesitate to reach out to them. Your success is our priority.
💻Zoom Schedule for K-8 Students:
Students in grades K-8, please take a moment to review your Zoom schedules. Staying on top of your schedule is crucial to ensuring you don't miss any important classes.
✅Attendance Submission:
It's important to submit your attendance via My Hours. This helps us keep track of your participation and ensures that we can support your learning needs effectively.
🏫Innovation Center:
We are pleased to announce that the Innovation Center will be open next week for in-person learning. This is a great opportunity to take advantage of the resources and support available to you.
🍎Updated Lab Hours for High School Students:

Let's make this week productive and engaging. Remember, we are all here to support you every step of the way.

🔴K-3 In-Person Dibels Testing🔴
We are excited to announce that our IN PERSON DIBELS testing for K-3 students will take place on Wednesday, 8/7/24 and Thursday, 8/8/24.
Testing will be at the Innovation Center beginning at 2:00 PM.
DIBELS is a state-mandated test taken three times each year. Our goal is to collect the most current and accurate data to measure reading skills and plan instruction aligned with those results. In person testing provides a means for us to get to know your child while testing in a comfortable and secure environment. Students will also work on another required test called NWEA.
We will have additional hands-on learning opportunities and supervision for your child. Students will be released at 3:30. Parents can either pull up along the dismissal curb so students can safely get into the car or a parent can walk up and wait outside the building doors to pick students up.
Students need a fully charged Chromebook and headphones.

Counselor Corner 👋
Welcome - Our New K-12 Counselor!
Dear Parents/Guardians, and Students,
I hope this letter finds you well. My name is Melissa Detorrice-Wynne, AKA D-Dubs, and I am the School Counselor at Aspire. I am excited to introduce myself and share with you the role I will be playing in supporting the students throughout this academic year.
Here's a little info about myself: I am married and have two daughters. two dogs and two cats. I grew up in Dixon, IL, and have lived in AZ for the past 22 years. Before I went into counseling, I taught science at the jr. high and high school levels. I love traveling, spending time with family, binge watching Netflix and movies, and my favorite place is the beach.
As your school counselor, my primary goal is to provide students and families with the support and resources they need to thrive both academically and personally. My role includes academic advising, career guidance/exploration, crisis intervention, and counseling support, and I have an open-door policy.
I am committed to working collaboratively with students, parents/guardians, and educators to ensure that everyone has the tools and support needed for success. I am always available to answer questions or discuss any concerns you may have.
Please feel free to contact me via email at melissa.detorrice-wynne@dvusd.org or by phone at 623-445-4977.
I look forward to working with everyone in their journey toward personal and academic success.
