BES Weekly Update

To create a positive learning environment for all students that integrates the Arts into Education.

How is it possible that we only have one week until Thanksgiving Break?! This school year is going by way too fast! I am, however, looking forward to having my son home from school.

On Monday, our 2nd graders had a beautiful performance celebrating our Veterans. Their songs and words expressed our thanks for all on Veterans Day. Thank you to Mrs. Benson, Mrs. Culpepper, Ms. Tiffany, and Ms. Azra for supporting our students, as well as our 2nd grade parents for decorating our stage. What a wonderful display of gratitude and gratefulness!

This Thursday, we have a PTA meeting at 6:30 pm in the cafeteria. This week we have a special guest, Allen Smith, our Director of Safety and Security in GCISD. He will be at the meeting to share with you our procedures and protocols, as well as answer any questions or concerns you may have.

-Bring a box (or more) of cereal to school by Friday. Our Dads Club is collecting cereal for GRACE.

Dads Clubs from across the District are joining forces to collect food and other needed items for Grapevine Relief & Community Exchange (GRACE). Each of the elementary campuses are focusing on an area of need. Bransford will be collecting cereal donations, which store for long periods of time and feed folks of all ages. From November 11th to the 22nd, please have your student place cereal donations in the collection boxes that will be in the lobby. On Friday, November 22nd, we’ll have our cereal dominoes event, where the donated boxes will be lined-up throughout the hallways. This will be a student-only event, but don’t fret! We’ll have a videographer record and share all of the fun. Thanks for all of the donations and making this the BESt cereal drive yet!

GCISD Voters Approve VATRE; Generate $6 Million in Revenue for District

According to unofficial results from Tarrant County, Grapevine-Colleyville ISD voters have approved the school district’s Voter-Approved Tax Ratification Election, listed as Proposition A on the ballot, with 57.9% of voters in favor and 42.1% against. Thanks to our community’s support, the VATRE will provide approximately $6 million in much-needed funding for school district operations. View this message from Superintendent Dr. Brad Schnautz.

De acuerdo con los resultados no oficiales del Condado de Tarrant, los votantes de Grapevine-Colleyville ISD han aprobado la Elección de Ratificación de Impuestos Aprobada por los Votantes (VATRE), que aparece como la Propuesta A en la boleta electoral, con un 57.9% de los votantes a favor y un 42.1% en contra.
