Principal's Message
I think we might have actually experienced some early spring weather this weekend. After spending a beautiful Saturday in Athens, OH to watch my son play rugby and being able to open the windows today for fresh air, I am in the mood to start planting!
Despite the upheaval in the schedule on Wednesday, our week went very well. Our students did an amazing job of listening, being patient and following directions when we had to shift everyone to Malabar and back. I was very proud of every single one of them.
Finally, I wanted to remind families that teacher appreciation week will be celebrated May 6-10. This is a great time to show teachers how much their work is appreciated by students and families. Even a quick note is a great way to let them know!

6th Graders Attend Outdoor School
Our 6th grade students spent 3 days at Camp Nuhop in Perrysville, OH. While there they ate family style meals, challenged themselves on a ropes course & zip line, and did plenty of hiking. Despite the rainy week, they were able to enjoy all of the planned activities - although they did come home muddy and exhausted.
April 10 - May 9: Ohio State Testing
We had a great start to testing last week. Please make sure you encourage your student(s) to do their best. This is how they can show what they know! This would be a great week to make sure there is no technology that may get in the way of sleeping in the bedroom. I know it sounds crazy, but we do hear of students "talking" to each other at 2:30am.
This Week:
Monday 4/15: 6th Grade ELA pt1
Tuesday 4/16: 6th Grade ELA pt2
Wednesday 4/17: 4th Grade ELA pt1

Any ELA tests missed due to absence will be made up on the next school day.
At Mid-Ohio's Artapolooza show, STEM has 56 students with artwork on display this week!
Our Art Teacher Mrs. Reecer sent home letters before spring break if your child's work is on display. If you have any additional questions please feel free to contact her via email at: reecer.molly@mansfieldschools.org
