We are thrilled to recognize Armando Pina as our Shining Star! Serving the southwest quadrant, Armando has dedicated 29 years to his craft as a plumber, with 18 of those years at Dallas ISD.

Known for his unwavering commitment to the students, Armando goes above and beyond to ensure that our schools are equipped with reliable plumbing. He also plays a vital role in training and supporting new team members, sharing his expertise and passion.

With the kids always in mind, Armando's hard work and dedication make a significant difference in our schools every day. Congratulations, Armando!

Gregory Shortes, Manager of Environmental Health and Safety has been with Dallas ISD for 9 years. Mr. Shortes is not only dedicated to his role as Environmental Health and Safety Manager but also to his family and hobbies.

Outside of work, he focuses on raising his three kids to love Christ and others. In his free time, he competes in pickleball tournaments, showcasing his competitive spirit. His favorite travel destination is Las Vegas, where he and his family enjoy exploring new foods prepared by some of the best chefs in America.
