Greetings, SKS!!!
It's TRUNK OR TREAT Day! Come on out to the playground from 5-7 this evening and get in the Halloween spirit! 🚗 🧙🧛🧟👻
Shout-out to our First Graders for their Saints Presentation! Watching our students share the stories of the saints reminded us that everyday people can be holy. They also reminded us that the SKS Family is in God's Hands! If you missed the presentation, you can view it here! 🙏
With Halloween around the corner, the excitement is building— and we encourage you to embrace the spirit! Don't forget to check our Halloween Costume Considerations below to keep it safe and fun this year. 🎃

Halloween Costumes
A few considerations....
Spooky season is just around the corner, and we’re excited to see all the creative and fun Halloween costumes in our annual Halloweenathon! To make sure everyone has an enjoyable and inclusive experience, the following are a few costume guidelines:
Keep it Inclusive! 👫 We love seeing characters from all walks of life, but let’s avoid costumes that could be hurtful or disrespectful to others’ cultures, races, or religions. Let's also be inclusive of others in our classrooms. Our school values kindness and respect, and we want everyone to feel celebrated.
Stay School-Appropriate! 🍎 Costumes should be comfortable, fun, and appropriate for a school setting. Nothing too scary, too gory, or too revealing. Remember, we’ve got little ones in the crowd!
No Masks or Weapons! 😷 For safety reasons, please leave masks and toy weapons at home. We want to see all your smiling faces.
No blow up Costumes! 💨 Also for safety reasons -- we've seen injuries with these in the past.
Keep the Magic Alive! 🌟 Encourage creativity, whether it’s dressing up as your favorite book character, an animal, or a hero. We love when students think outside the box!
Let’s make this Halloween full of fun, joy, and St. Katharine’s spirit!
