Bake Sale to Help Support the Richards Rocketry Teams
Saturday, May 4, please drop by R.P. Lumber for a bake sale. Funds raised will help with travel expenses for our Rocketry Teams to compete in the American Rocketry Challenge in Washington D.C. They will be selling baked goods from 7:00 AM - Noon!
Richards Rocketry Team Qualifies for Nationals! YOU CAN HELP!
Our Richards Rocketry Teams have qualified again! They will be headed to The American Rocketry Challenge (ARC) held outside Washington D.C., May 18, to compete in the world’s largest rocket contest with nearly 5,000 students nationwide competing.
This is an amazing experience for our students, but it is also an expensive endeavor. Thanks to the generous donation of R.P. Lumber, you can buy a ticket to win a Milwaukee Drill Set. All funds raised will be donated directly to the teams.
Thank you in advance for your consideration and support!
Learning Enhancement Grant
Grant Award for Reading Instruction
We are so excited to show off some of the new leveled reading books that just arrived! These books will be used with our new reading program for the upcoming school year. Thanks to the generosity of the Community Foundation of the Ozarks and a $5000.00 Coover/Rural Schools Partnership Learning Enhancement Grant, Richards purchased multiple sets of leveled readers for kindergarten through third grade.
At Richards we use leveled readers in small group instruction which allows us to provide multiple topics, genres, and levels to meet student individual needs and interests. These additional resources will support the "Science of Reading" instruction and provide increased opportunities for students to apply and practice their acquired literacy skills.

M.A.S.H Camp
Ozark Healthcare’s upcoming summer M*A*S*H (Medical Academy of Science and Health) Camp is for area students who may be interested in pursuing a career in healthcare. M*A*S*H Camp puts a twist on the traditional concept of a summer camp. It gives students hands-on opportunities to explore different areas of the healthcare field and learn from healthcare workers on Ozarks Healthcare’s main campus. Students will explore different healthcare careers, including orthopedic surgery, radiology, emergency medicine, rehabilitation services, primary care, nursing, and more. There are limited seats available for the camp so sign up soon. Here is the link to register (https://www.ozarkshealthcare.com/.../mash-camp/mash-form/) online or use the QR code on the flyer.
