School Family News & Updates

Dear La Verne Charter Families,

First, due to the Governor's new Stay At Home orders and the increasing numbers of COVID cases. Pomona Unified School offices will be closed to the general public effective Dec. 10 through Dec. 18. However, we are available by telephone and by appointment to serve and assist families. Please call the school office between the hours of 8:00 am to 4:00 pm for any questions you may have. Second, it is my hope that as we continue to confront the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, you are taking care of yourselves and loved ones by staying safe and healthy.

I am humbled and inspired by the hard work of our teachers, staff, our committed students whom we miss terribly, and by the efforts and support of our parents and families. I truly appreciate everyone of you and wish you a peaceful, blessed, and safe holiday season.

Due to the new "Stay at Home" orders issued by the Governor, we must regrettably cancel this event. We will have a virtual event. See flyers below.

Semester 1 ends on Friday, Dec. 18. Report cards will be mailed home and should be received during the week of Jan. 11, 2021. Please make sure we have a current address on file. Please call the school office for assistance with updating addresses.

Unfortunately, we do have to suspend the reservation and check-out of library books through Dec. 18. If your child has library books, please do take care of them and they can be returned in January. Thank you!

Student meal distribution will continue each morning at Palomares Academy, Lopez, Emerson, Ganesha High, Golden Springs, and Washington through Friday, Dec. 18 and will resume on Monday, Jan. 4, 2021.
