Congratulations to Irondale and Mounds View high schools, who were both named to the College Board's 2024 AP Honor Roll! The award recognizes schools that have done outstanding work to welcome more students into AP courses and support them on the path to college success. Research shows students who take AP courses and exams are more likely to attend college and graduate on time.
The Mounds View School District Orchestra Program has been awarded the 2024 Meritorious Orchestra Program Award by the Minnesota String and Orchestra Teachers Association (MNSOTA). This prestigious award recognizes the excellence of our program and the positive impact we’ve made on students and the string community across Minnesota.
This year, the School Board will engage the school district community to help inform the creation of a student cell phone use policy. A cell phone advisory group of students, parents and teachers is working collaboratively with administration to develop recommendations for cell phone use by educational level (elementary school, middle school, high school). These recommendations will be provided to the School Board which will develop a cell phone policy in compliance with new legislation. A survey for parents, secondary students and staff will be shared in the coming weeks, and community engagement sessions will be hosted as well. Learn more at mvpschools.org/cellphones.

The Mounds View Schools Education Foundation's flagship fundraising event, synonymous with fun, is slated for Saturday, November 9, at the Silverwood Great Hall in New Brighton. Remember, this fundraiser is an important source of revenue for the Foundation. We hope you will consider joining us for this year’s event, complete with a live cover band. Tickets will sell out, so act fast!
Mounds View Public Schools is partnering with Neighborhood Health Source to offer a free child immunization clinic on Saturday, October 26, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at 10081 Dogwood St NW #100 Coon Rapids.
Vaccines available include MMR, Polio, Tdap, Hepatitis B and other school-required vaccines.
