Virtual Back-to-School Night is an opportunity for teachers to provide valuable information about the curriculum and suggestions for establishing routines at the beginning of the school year that will be essential for successful student learning throughout the school year.

Prior to Virtual Back-to-School Night teachers will email a Google Meet link for parents and guardians to join presentations at the scheduled times indicated below.

We realize that many parents/guardians have more than one child at Tuscan. Therefore, teachers will anticipate that some parents/guardians may need to attend more than one Back-to-School Night presentation. Please do not feel that you are interrupting as you go from one Google Meet to another.

The Elementary School Social Work Program offers counseling services for students at each of South Orange & Maplewood School District's elementary schools. The program offers individual and small group counseling with a social work intern. Its aim is to remove barriers to success and to provide students with the social/ emotional support necessary for them to get the most out of their school experience.

Construction work on the Tuscan blacktop beginning this summer is part of the District’s Long Range Facilities Plan (LRFP).

To commemorate the launch of construction at Tuscan, the South Orange & Maplewood School District along with EPIC Construction hosted a groundbreaking ceremony on Monday, June 28, 2021.

Although we will deeply miss the Tuscan blacktop, we will hold dear in our hearts all the happy memories of the beloved space.

Please know that while construction is taking place, we will do our best to more fully utilize all available outdoor space at Tuscan. When construction is complete, the portable classrooms will be removed and the new space gained will be developed for safe outdoor play and arrival/dismissal. We are so excited that in the near future all Tuscan students and teachers will be connected under one roof.

New patterns for student arrival/morning line up and dismissal will be shared prior to the start of the 2021-2022 school year.
