NWEA Maps Testing
We will be conducting MAPS Testing during the month of January. We test students growth in ELA & Math 3 times a year, in the fall, winter and spring. Unlike the State of Ohio Tests, which results arrive too late to allow us to provide additional help to the students, MAPS testing allows us to see where our students stand immediately against grade level peers across the country. The results are specific in areas of strengths and weaknesses of students, allowing us to plan to intervene or enrich your child's understanding of the subject material. MAPS can also provide a predictor of student success on the OST, giving us information to guide our instruction leading up to state testing.

AJH was recognized by the state of Ohio for it's PBIS program. In our first year applying, bronze was the highest recognition we could receive. We'll continue to work with students, staff and parents to provide a meaningful and impactful PBIS program.
AJH Recognized for PBIS!
AJH & PBIS
*Passes* Raffles* Teams*
Our students have enjoyed using their PBIS points to purchase passes at our school store. By far, the most popular pass has been the pajama pant pass!
Before break, our PBIS team held a raffle for students who had received no referrals for the entire first semester! This is such a great accomplishment and we are so proud of our students for being Respectful, Responsible and Kind! The raffle winners received a free movie ticket!
Our PBIS team would like to thank the PTO volunteers who run our bi-weekly store for us! We are so grateful for the support. Thank you for helping to make our school a fun and positive place to be!
Exciting news! Starting in January, AJH will have a PBIS Student Team! Students who join the team will help plan and organize PBIS events for our school. We can't wait to work with the team and hear all the great ideas our students share to continue to encourage positive behavior at AJH!
