Caruso Connect - May 17th
Caruso Middle School is an inclusive and vibrant community where Blue Jays
take ownership of their social-emotional and academic growth by supporting,
challenging, and celebrating self and others.
Good Evening Blue Jay Families:
By the time you are reading this a few of our Blue Jays will have competed at the IESA state track meet! On Thursday we were able to gather to celebrate our students as we wish them luck at state; holding a parade through our halls. Our qualifying students may have led the parade but just behind them was their entire team. This is something important to note. While track may feel like an individual sport, individual athletes are better because of their team and it is their team's efforts that support them. While not every one of our students may qualify for the championship in their respective area of interest their efforts matter. Being a part of a group, team, club, ensemble, or troop means that their efforts lead to other's successes. So as we celebrate our individual state qualifiers this week we celebrate our team and coaches as well. As we move into these final weeks of the year, please celebrate your student's successes this year and encourage them to finish the year strong.

Repeated Information
PE Cold Weather Gear
Deadline: Wednesday, July 10, 2024
Caruso is pleased to offer cold weather gear options for ALL 6th, 7th & 8th grade Physical Education (PE) Classes. We want to emphasize that purchasing these items is entirely optional. However, should you decide to acquire them, students will have the flexibility to wear these specialized garments both indoors and outdoors during PE sessions.
Our initiative to provide these specialized items is designed to ensure that students have suitable attire for PE activities, distinct from their regular school attire. This distinction is crucial as regular clothing can become sweaty and soiled during physical exertion. Additionally, the Cold Weather Gear features students' names on the backs of the sweatshirts, adding a personalized touch.
To place an order for the Caruso hoodie and sweatpants, please click on the provided link below. Orders will be conveniently delivered directly to the school during the first week of August and distributed on locker day or during the first week of school should you choose to wait. Kindly note that Wednesday, July 10, 2024 is the hard deadline for placing orders.
Furthermore, it's important to mention that the cost of PE shorts and shirts has already been covered by all families through school fees. These items will be distributed to students at the beginning of the school year. Should you have any inquiries or require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact Ms. Signa at msigna@dps109.org.
