Husky Headlines
December, 2024
Husky Families,
I hope you and your family enjoyed a wonderful, restful break. November has been an exceptional month of learning and achievement across our school. Our students have shown incredible dedication to their studies, and we're particularly proud of the outstanding attendance rates we've maintained this fall. This commitment to being present and engaged creates the foundation for deep learning and academic success.
We look forward to welcoming our students back tomorrow morning as we continue building on these achievements throughout December.

Galileo Testing In Progress - December 2-6
Our K-4 students will be taking the Reading and Math Galileo tests this week. These assessments give our students the opportunity to demonstrate their academic growth and learning progress this year. To help your child perform their best, please ensure they get adequate sleep each night, arrive at school on time, eat a healthy breakfast, and come prepared to show all they have learned. Thank you for your partnership in supporting your child's academic success!
Giving is Caring Coin Drive - December 2-10
Join us in spreading holiday cheer through our school-wide coin drive! Students can participate by bringing coins to deposit in collection jars located in the foyer before school or during lunch. Each jar represents a staff member, and the one whose jar collects the most donations will embrace the holiday spirit by dressing as an elf on our last day before winter break. All proceeds will support our Husky community, helping to make the season brighter for everyone. Together, we can make a meaningful difference while having some festive fun!
Attendance Matters
While we've seen a slight dip in attendance due to illness and holiday travel, we're pleased to share that we're maintaining strong numbers and still approaching our goal of 95%. Did you know that missing just two days of school each month can result in a student losing an entire month of learning over the academic year? Every day counts for our students' success!
We're excited to announce our upcoming Paw-fect Attendance Mystery Challenge! On Friday, December 20th, students will have the opportunity to select a special gift, with their attendance percentage between now and then determining which prize box they can choose from. Students must be present on November 20th to participate in this exciting reward. Thank you for helping us maintain strong attendance by ensuring your children arrive on time and stay for full days of learning.
