2024 APRIL ARTS - EXPRESS YOURSELF
It was amazing to bring our school community together to celebrate April Arts! We are so grateful to Mrs. Harrington and Mrs. Spitler for teaching our students so many different ways to βExpress Yourselfβ through art. From the stunning exhibits to the engaging art stations, and all the fun in between, everything was truly exceptional!
The Silent Auction featuring student created artwork is still open! Please place bids by Wednesday, April 17th. All proceeds benefit the Sterling School Art Department.
April Arts was made possible through the tireless efforts of our volunteers. Thank you to our students, parents, faculty & staff, and former Griffins for helping. We are especially appreciative of our PTA event co-chairs, Missy Talbert, Tiffany Walsh, and Nicole Burns.

π Sterling School Named Finalist for SIC Riley Award
We are thrilled to announce that Sterling School has been selected as finalists for the prestigious Dick and Tunky Riley Award for School Improvement Council Excellence! Of the many schools across our state, only five have been chosen as finalists, and we are incredibly proud to be among them. This recognition is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and unwavering commitment of our School Improvement Council (SIC), who tirelessly support our school community. We extend a special word of thanks to our SIC Chair, Catherine Schumacher, and Vice Chair, Chloe McGoogin!
Since its inception in 2002, the Riley Award has celebrated the invaluable contributions of SIC members to public education, highlighting their role in fostering parent and civic engagement within our schools. This honor reflects not only our SIC's achievements but also the collaborative spirit of our entire Sterling family β parents, educators, and community members alike. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the finalists, including our neighbors at Lake Forest Elementary.
As we eagerly await the announcement of the winner later this month, let us continue to celebrate this achievement and the positive impact we make together for the benefit of our students. Thank you to our SIC members, staff, students, and families for your ongoing support and commitment to excellence. Together, we truly embody the spirit of community and collaboration!
