OLVCS Day & Walk-A-Thon Details
October 7, 2024 - Here's everything you need to know!
The Schedule
- 9:00 - 10:00am: Mass. All families are encouraged to attend.
- Students should arrive to school in their Mass uniform.
- 10:00am - 12:30pm: Service Projects, Lunch, and Recess (Students will eat during their normal lunch period.)
- 12:35pm: Students will assemble on the hill for a whole school photo.
- 12:50pm: Walk/run begins.
- 1:30pm: Assembly in the courtyard.
- 2:00pm: Students will return to class.
*Preschool families will receive their schedule via email from Mrs. Rogan.
Mass & Service Projects
- We will attend Mass at 9:00am, and then each grade will complete a service project.
- Students should arrive to school in their Mass uniform.
- Students should bring athletic style dress-down day clothes and shoes to change into.
- They will be given their Walk-A-Thon t-shirt in the morning.
Parking
All volunteers:
- Utilize on-street parking on one of the adjacent streets or to the rear of the church near the Activities Center.
- Do not park in the spaces to the front of the school or preschool.
Volunteers
All volunteers:
- Please check in at the table in the courtyard when you arrive at the school.
- Volunteers helping with the walk/run should report by 12:00pm to the courtyard to sign in and receive instructions.
- Shirts for homeroom parents and Walk-A-Thon committee members will be in the library.
End Of Day Dismissal (If Different From Your Usual Plan)
- By Friday, October 4th: email your child's teacher and Mrs. Cawley, cawleym@olvcs.org, with any dismissal changes.
- Volunteers that are taking students home will wait in the courtyard for your child to be dismissed to you.
- Please sign your student out at a table in the courtyard.
- You can then walk them to your vehicle. DO NOT get in the parent pick-up line.
- All First Wave Parent Pick-up students and all Volunteer Parent Pick-up students for the day will be dismissed in the First Wave.
