CHINESE ACROBAT COMES TO MULREADY
What an amazing performance was put on by Chinese Acrobat Li Liu for all the students. The school was split in half, with the older students watching the first performance and the younger students watching the second one. Her balancing act awed the kids as they reacted with many "ooooohs" and clapping. Many children were called up to balance plates and use the ribbons. Thank you to the Home and School Association for sponsoring this cultural event.
FRIDAY SCIENTIST IN MRS. REGH'S ROOM AND MRS. CALVANESE'S ROOM
Each week a student in Mrs. Regh's class and Mrs. Calvanese's class chooses an experiment. The student follows a format for a lab report and presents it to the class. The student then performs the experiment. A boy in Mrs. Calvanese's class a boy poured milk on a plate, then added food coloring. When he aded in soap, the color separaed from the milk. In Mrs. Regh's class, a boy layered water, oil, and maple syrup and then observed the densities. He put different items in the jar and, depending on the density of the item and the liquid, it floated at different levels in the liquid.
KINDERGARTEN FOOD PANTRY DRIVE A SUCCESS!
With no time to spare, the Mulready families came through and donated slightly over the 1000 items of food. So, we narrowly passed our goal!! And, Mulready brought in the most food of the three elementary schools! Thank you to all who helped to make this drive a success!
BLANDING TURTLES
Mass Audobon came out to our third grade to finish our almost year lon study of Blanding turtles. They talked more about the turtles and collected ours so they can be released. A lot was discussed about what they d during the winter. They can actually live under the ice because their bodies shut down in the winter. They hold their breath all winter long!
