Superintendent Message
PJSD Families-
Happy February, everyone. We hope all of you are well as we excitedly look to spring after the recent Arctic blast.
We have enjoyed an exciting month as we near the end of the winter sport season, practice for upcoming performances (Legally Blonde tickets currently on sale:), and prepare for our annual state assessments.
We often field calls from parents inquiring how they can help prepare their son/daughter to perform well on the Forward, Pre ACT, or ACT. While test prep opportunities exist for the ACT, the overriding advice we give parents is to ensure a good night of sleep, a nutritious breakfast, and simply reinforce the importance of always "trying your best". Sounds simple... but these foundational pieces go a long way toward maximizing performance.
We hosted our school board members for a tour of our schools the morning of Wednesday, February 19. We appreciate their dedication - evidenced once again by their willingness to give up a weekday morning to accommodate this experience. The morning provided our board members with a full 4K-12 experience, as they were able to observe classrooms at all grade levels and concluded their morning by eating lunch in the PHS cafeteria.
Our district is releasing two student/staff testimonials via social media and our webpage over the course of the next eight weeks. These videos provide a glimpse into what makes the Plymouth Joint School District a great please to learn and work. Feel free to check out the first few videos here.
We continue to have many exciting competitions and performances on the horizon. Please check out the preceding links for details and come out to support and enjoy the talents of our students and staff.
Be sure to check out the sections below for additional information. Thank you for all that you do to support your student(s), staff, and the Plymouth Joint School District. Oh... and remember... no school on Friday, February 28.
Be well, and Go Panthers!

A New Way to Receive Bus Route Updates
In order to streamline communication from Johnson School Bus to families regarding route interruptions, we've created two Remind “classes” that you can join: Elementary School Routes and PHS/Riverview MS Routes. Going forward, all bus route notifications will be sent via Remind only.
Anyone can join one or both classes. Once you join, you will receive notifications or texts any time Johnson School Bus sends a message to that class.
Click here for instructions on how to install the Remind app on your smartphone to get push notifications, as well as instructions on how to sign up for text notifications if you prefer not to use the app.
