Grace N. Rogers Elementary School held its Student Council Elections on Thursday, an exciting day for the school community. Congratulations to all candidates for their inspiring speeches. Your effort and dedication are commendable. While there can only be one winner per position, remember that you are all winners for having the courage to speak in front of your peers and faculty. Your ideas and vision make you exceptional.
GNR is fully embracing the spirit of the Spooky Season by diving headfirst into the delightful task of writing an array of funny and goofy ghost stories that are sure to entertain and amuse.

Perry L. Drew and Grace N. Rogers Morning Rehearsals Started This Week!
Grace N. Rogers Elementary School and Perry L. Drew Elementary School started their morning rehearsals this week. Over five hundred students in fourth and fifth grade arrived excited to participate in the band and orchestra program.
On Friday, October 25, Timothy Shoemaker presented to each of the grade levels at Melvin H. Kreps Middle School. Mr. Shoemaker talked about the dangers of using nicotine, vapes, drugs, and how decisions can affect them. Mr. Shoemaker let the students know, "If you want to be successful in life, you have to make good choices," and told them "Don’t let today’s mistakes rob you of your tomorrows."
The 10th annual PGC Activity Day is in full swing! A beautiful day for some team-building and fun, as students help connect our Class of 2028 to Hightstown High School!
"In a world before Facebook, World of Warcraft, and Massive Multiplayer Online RPGs, there once existed simply a game...This is the story of how Agnes the Average learned to finally fight and kill monsters." She Kills Monsters is a story about connection, acceptance, and love, all told through the lens of Dungeons and Dragons. Featuring 90s pop-culture references and exciting stage combat, She Kills Monsters is one you don't want to miss!
She Kills Monsters will be performed November 21st-23 at 7:00 p.m., and November 24 at 2:00 p.m. at Hightstown High School. This play contains some mature content, and is recommended for audience members ages 13+. Tickets are $10/ $5 for students.

Hightstown High School Pep Rally
The Hightstown High School choir tenors and basses went to Rowan University on October 16 to sing with multiple other schools tenor and bass students. The students were able to work with Dr. Christopher Thomas and other Rowan faculty members. They were able to work with both professors, who offered a collegiate level rehearsal. Our students were also able to listen to some of Rowan University's finest singers perform solo pieces. The Hightstown High School students sang beside 250 other students.
