Pizza & Kindness
Congratulations to Josh W! He was nominated because "Josh is willing to help others understand how to get started or complete their work. He is responsible in completing his own assignments and often has time to help peers that want support." Congratulations to Josh W. and THANK YOU for helping to spread KINDNESS at Nottingham School!
Volleyball Pink Out Game!
Both JV and Varsity won their games and honored their departing 8th graders in their last season as Knights. Our Student Leadership Coalition (SLC) got together after school to decorate and sell treats. They held a 50/50 raffle and in total they were able to donate close to $500 to the Susan G Komen Center for breast cancer research! We are very proud of all of the students who participated to make this event a success! Great job!
Staff Spotlight - Art Teacher Mrs. Polzin
We have a new feature this year, brought to you by one of our Reading Specialists, Mrs. Pollard. We hope you enjoy getting to know some of our staff members! Thank you to Mrs. Pollard for spearheading this effort.
4th Grade News
Science Rocks! 4th Grade spent some time studying and classifying various types of rocks. They even learned more about the amazing rocks and land formations in our own Pawtuckaway State Park! Great way to incorporate local resources and make real life connections 4th grade!
8th Grade Language Arts
Ms. Elwood's 8th-grade students read W.W. Jacobs' short story, "The Monkey's Paw." After reading the story, students created a one pager to demonstrate their understanding and analysis of the story. Students analyzed how suspense was created, the theme, the setting, the mood as well as several other literary elements. They look great!

1st & 3rd Grade Buddies
Mrs. Cloutier and Ms. Medeiros recently brought their classes together to work on some activities. We love to see cross grade level groupings which give our older students the ability to lead and model what it means to be a Nottingham Knight. It also allows students to see familiar faces throughout the building from different grades and brings a sense of community!
Art Class
Here are some of the latest Art Projects!
8th Grade Science
Mrs. Buzzell’s 8th grade class explored kinetic energy’s relationship to mass by measuring the volume of impact craters made by dropping spheres of different masses.
It's that time of year...Pumpkins!
Some of the elementary students enjoyed learning about pumpkins this month and going outside for a pumpkin hunt!
Kindergarten and Fall
Kindergarten students took part in Cherokee Leaf Pounding as one of their activities in their study of autumn. I feel like we live in a perfect place to study leaves and autumn. What a great way to incorporate different learning styles. Nice job kindergarten!
Kindergarten Field Trip
Our K classes walked over to the Nottingham Fire Department today for a full tour! How exciting!
Executive Functioning Skills
This year our building is focusing on Executive Functioning Skills. Our staff will be taking part in Professional Development throughout the year as we hope to help our students improve upon these much needed "real world" skills. Below are some details about Parent & Caregiver Executive Functioning Workshops that we are hosting throughout the year.
