Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week 5/6-5/10
While the wonders of what our staff do are not limited to being celebrated only one week a year, we invite you to join us in sharing your appreciation of Beach teachers, specialists and staff for the incredible work they do during teacher appreciation week. At Beach, we use this week to recognize all of our staff as we know it is our interdependence and the value of each and every job that makes what we do possible. Your words of appreciation go a long way!
A BIG thank you to the Beach Community Union for all you do to make this a special week for staff!

Community and staff are also able to provide input through the Human Resources / School Community Feedback Survey (pps.net)
Each year, we gather student, staff, and family feedback through the Successful Schools Survey. The results help us understand the needs of your students, staff, and families, as well as support the development of our school continuous improvement plans (SCIP). Please support us by completing the survey- it is extremely helpful to know what is working and what needs further attention from as many families as possible
Families select their school site from the drop-down list at the following URL. Families with more than one student can respond for their eldest student or take the survey more than once. No access codes needed!

We will do all the shopping have materials ready for each student on the first day of school. More information coming soon on how to make payments.
3rd-5th Grade State Assessment
Our third through fifth grade students will begin taking the Oregon State Assessment next week. We will being with reading and then complete math the following week. While we know there is so much more to knowing what a student can do beyond a single test, we also want our students to do their very best.
We are asking for your help in making sure students are on-time, have breakfast and well rested. We encourage you to talk with your student in a way that encourages them to do their best while also recognizing there are parts that may feel challenging.
