Thunderbird Families,
Wow! I can't believe that we have already made it to November. Just 3 short weeks until Thanksgiving! There is no school on Tuesday due to Election Day. Everyone go vote and we will see our students back on Wednesday.
Friday is our Annual Veteran's Day Assembly. If you are a Veteran or active member of our armed forces, we would love to honor you at our assembly. Please complete the Veteran Parent Letter below, which was also sent through email, and return to Zia ASAP. This is a tradition at Zia and we hope you will join us in honoring these crucial members of our society!
Thank you to all the parents, students, and staff members that were able to join us Friday night for the Dia De Los Muertos Festival! We had a good crowd and everyone seems to have a great time! We are already looking forward to our next family engagement activity! Congratulations to Mr. Yee and his advisory class for collecting the most candy for the festival and earning a pizza party!
We kicked off our Girls Basketball season this past week. We have 3 teams this year and they are already putting checks in the win column for Zia. Come out and support these young athletes as they take the court. The schedule is below as well as the QR code to purchase tickets. Boys soccer begins this week with the season opener on Tuesday, November 5th.
Enlace is sponsoring a Loteria fundraiser on November 12th. This is a fundraiser for "US". All money raised goes right back into the school to help with class wishlists, music instrument rentals fees for students, etc. Cards are $5 and go on sale in the library on Wednesday. Students will play Loteria between classes and during lunch, searching for teachers wearing shirts that match the pictures on their cards. Great Prizes....lets play Loteria!

- November 8th - Veteran's Day Ceremony
- November 11th - Educator Planning day, Remote learning day for students
- November 12th - Loteria Event - between classes and at lunch
- November 12th - Progress reports sent home
- November 15th - Interim grades available in ParentVue
- November 20th - "Turning Pain into Passion" Assembly (6th & 7th Graders)
- November 25-29th - Thanksgiving Break
