Amazing Ivy Families,

We have a lot of students! We really could use some help getting through the lunch line from 11:10 am-11:50 am. If you are able to come help us out with our salad bar area, please send an email to annemarie.sanchez@tsd.org with which day of the week you would be able to assist. We really are looking for someone who can commit to that day on a weekly basis and not 1 to 2 times a month for manangement purposes. Hello Ivy families,

I’m excited to begin my 2nd year here at Ivy as the school counselor! I wanted to share some information about my role and how I work with students. I always share with students that I am a teacher for all students at Ivy as I help support their academic success and well-being. I meet with students short-term for 1:1 counseling as needed, facilitate small groups and lunch bunches, coordinate 504 plans, and collaborate with the Ivy community to help students succeed.

If you would like me to check in with your student this year, please feel free to email or call me. Students can also self refer themselves for a visit. There are also days when your student’s teacher might have me check in on them if they are having a hard day.

Please feel free to reach out if you have questions. I want this to be a great year for all students!

Community Mental Health Resources

Have you ever wondered what the SAAC is? It is an important committee of Ivy family, community and staff members that meet 5 times throughout the year to discuss and make recommendations around the school's unified improvement plan, how school funds should be spent, make recommendations to the District Accountability Committee and ensure that the school is appropriately engaging families in the school community.

If you are interested in joining the committee please send an email to annemarie.sanchez@tsd.org. The more the merrier and also it ensures a more collective family voice and representation when school-wide decisions are being made. Thank you for considering this opportunity.

Absences must be reported through the attendance line at 613-6190. This will help ensure that your family does not receive an attendance phone call. Mornings are super busy, so unfortunately emails may not be received prior to the attendance call deadline.

We would love for you to help support Ivy students and staff by becoming an authorized volunteer. We welcome and so appreciate your involvement! If you are new to volunteering in the Thompson School District, thank you for registering at https://www.thompsonschools.org/volunteer. All new volunteers MUST register prior to volunteering in person at the school. Come help make a difference in our students' lives!

Here's the link for our Ivy Stockwell FAMILY HANDBOOK. There are 2 major changes this year. First, students will be allowed to wear hats/caps to school. This will remain if students can wear and use them responsibly and they do not cause disruption to the learning environment. Second, smart watches will now be required to be powered off and put into backpacks- the same as cell phones have for many years now.
