Happy Summer to our DPM Families!
As the school year draws to a close, we wanted to take a moment to express our sincere gratitude for your incredible partnership and support throughout the past year. It's truly been a remarkable year at Deer Path Middle School, filled with growth, learning, and countless memorable moments, and none of it would have been possible without our strong DPM community.
Your dedication to our students and school is evident in so many ways. Whether it was volunteering your time, supporting school events, or simply encouraging your children's learning at home, your contributions have made a tangible difference. We are so fortunate to have such an engaged and supportive parent body.
We especially want to extend a huge thank you to the Spirit of 67 Foundation and the DPM APT. Your unwavering generosity and tireless efforts have directly enriched the educational experience for all our students. From funding innovative programs to organizing countless events that foster our vibrant school community, your impact is truly immeasurable. We are profoundly grateful for your commitment to bettering Deer Path for students and staff alike.
On behalf of the entire staff at Deer Path Middle School, we wish you and your families a wonderful summer break. May it be filled with relaxation, fun, and cherished moments together. But before we all depart for the summer, allow yourself to soak up some sunshine. Not just the beautiful warm weather, but the happy memories we created for our DPM students together this year:
We look forward to welcoming our returning students in the fall and continuing our partnership. See you in August!

Summer Reading Expectations
Expectation/goal: 4-5 books over the summer. If you read this much, you will maintain the bulk of your knowledge learned this year!
Keep in mind... at least one book MUST be read over the summer, as we will jump right in at the start of next year with an in-class project.
The Lake Forest Public Library has an incentive program for its summer reading challenge:
- You can read whatever you want, whatever genre, and in any format!
- More info can be found here or you can ask the librarians at the Lake Forest Public Library!
DPM State Track Athlete - Kate R.
Deer Path’s own 8th grader Kate R. placed 5th at the State Track Meet last weekend in Peoria for high jump. She had a personal best of 4‘10“!
Thank you to our DPM track coaches for their dedication and support of our athletes!
**REPEAT** 25-26 Parent Input Form
If you would like to share information that may help us with scheduling, we ask that you submit your information to the Parent Input Form. When creating classes, many things are taken into consideration, including the individual learning styles and personalities of each student. We strive to have a well-balanced, academically heterogeneous group of students with a full range of learner abilities in every classroom. If you would like to share information about some unique aspect of your child's learning style and/or any specific academic and/or social concerns that should be considered, information should be submitted by Friday, June 6.
Please note that specific teacher requests will not be considered. Thank you for trusting our professional judgment as we work to create a wonderful learning experience for each and every student here at Deer Path.
