We hope you had a wonderful weekend. It is hard to believe we are in the final week of September. These last few weeks have been filled with activities to help us create a positive school culture that nurtures and values each member. Students and staff have been working hard all month building relationships, learning new routines, and developing their stamina for the important learning they will do this year.
We are still working out a few kinks with the traffic flow in the morning. Officer Ford, Georgetown Police and the school administration are working together to determine the best course of action to move traffic more efficiently. Please help us by following the flow of traffic and moving all the way up to the first cone by the fire hydrant. Once the flow of traffic comes to a stop the students can exit the car on the passenger side onto the sidewalk. It is really important that the adult stays in the car. If you need to get out of the car to assist your child you must park in a legal spot.
If the doors are open and a staff member is still outside your child is not late. Teachers take attendance beginning at 8:50am. If the doors are closed you will need to park and bring your student into school.
This week we kick off the Boosterthan Fundraiser that leads up to the Fun Run on Friday 10/4/24. Please see more information below from the Georgetown PTA.
School pictures will be taken on Thursday 9/26/24. Information on picture day was sent home with your child last week. Please check in with your child's classroom/homeroom teacher if you did not receive it.
Please remember that any changes to your students dismissal plan must be captured in Pick Up Patrol by 1pm at the latest. We will follow the plan that is indicated in Pick Up Patrol. If there is an emergency and you need to change your students dismissal.
