It is hard to believe it is already the middle of September! It feels like the first day of school was just yesterday. We have some fun and exciting things happening this month at The Fort!

Elementary Bell Schedule
Fort Crook Arrival and Dismissal Reminders
- For arrival and dismissal in the back loop, please pull your vehicle as far forward as traffic allows.
- Please refrain from pulling around another car, unless you are directed by a staff member to do so.
- If you arrive after 8:00 AM, please bring your student to the front entrance. They will have to get a tardy slip before walking to class.
- We want to encourage all of our students to independently walk to their classroom in the morning. If you arrive after 8:00 AM, we ask parents/guardians to stay in the vestibule and refrain from walking them to class. We understand there are always special circumstances, if you have one of those please reach out to Mr. Ramirez.

Falcon Familes
This year Fort Crook Elementary is implementing a School-Wide initiative, Falcon Families.
The Why
- Promote character development among all students
- Strengthen student social and emotional support at school
- Cultivate a positive school community for all
- Create connections for all students and staff
The What
- 18 Falcon Families
- 2 staff members
- Approximately 15 students per family (families are made up of students K-6)
- Families will determine their "Family Name" during their first meeting (animal themed).

- Meeting once a month for 30 minutes (45 minutes on early release days)

The Falcon Way
All students at Fort Crook Elementary follow the Falcon Way! School-wide expectations or rules fall under the umbrella of the Falcon Way aka The Falcon 4:

Falcon High Flyers
Falcon High Flyers are students who are going ABOVE and BEYOND exhibiting the Falcon Way (Falcon 4). Students put their High Flyer in a box, and every Monday morning 10 students are drawn and the winners receive a free kids meal from Texas Roadhouse!
Falcon Raffle Prize Winners
Each week students can earn raffle tickets by exhibiting "The Falcon 4" aka The Falcon Way. They may enter their tickets into a raffle to win a prize of their choosing. The prizes change every week.
Week 1 Prizes:
- Free Soda from the Lounge
- Pajama Day for Whole Class
- Bring an Item for Show and Tell

Fort Crook Elementary Fall Pictures
Fall Pictures will be taken on Wednesday September 25th. Flyers and order forms went home with students on Thursday September 12th.
All students will be photographed individually. To get the best price possible, it is encouraged to submit/place all orders by picture day. You may send check, or cash in the prepay order envelope the day of pictures or pay online. Orders placed after picture day are not at the discounted price and will be charged shipping.
Ordering online is easy and can be done until 11:59 p.m. on September 25. You can order your fall portraits by clicking HERE
Boys Town Commom Sense Parenting Classes
We are excited to offer FREE Boys Town Common Sense Parenting classes that will be hosted here at Fort Crook Elementary! These are being offered in both English and Spanish. Information on how to register is included on the flyers below!

Boys Town Common Sense Parenting Classes (English)
