Spring Fever in Acadia Parish
As we enter the month of March, I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey we’ve had together this school year. We are now entering the final stretch before summer, and I’m excited to see all the wonderful things happening across our district. From the classroom to extracurriculars, our students and staff continue to impress, and I’m proud of all we’ve accomplished so far.
March is a time of transition. As we move closer to spring, we’re feeling a renewed sense of energy in our schools. Spring break is just around the corner, and with the promise of warmer weather and more daylight, we’re seeing students and staff working hard to finish the year strong. It’s an exciting time, but we also recognize that “spring fever” can be a challenge as we all look forward to the break. I encourage everyone to maintain focus and keep pushing toward your goals—both academic and personal—as we head into the final months of the year.
Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month
March is also Developmental Disabilities Awareness month, a time to recognize and celebrate the achievements and abilities of individuals with developmental disabilities. This month provides an important opportunity for us to reflect on how we can support all students in our community and promote an inclusive environment where every individual is valued.
In our district, we are dedicated to ensuring that every student, regardless of ability, has access to high-quality education and the resources they need to succeed. I encourage you to learn more about developmental disabilities and explore the ways in which we can continue to build an inclusive school culture. Let’s work together to ensure that our schools remain welcoming spaces where all students can thrive, and that we continue to recognize the strengths and potential of every individual. 💙
National Athletic Training Month
This month we recognize the vital role that our athletic trainers play in the health and success of our student athletes. These trainers are skilled professionals who provide preventive and emergency care, as well as rehabilitation and overall wellness support to keep our students safe and performing at their best. Shout to our district trainers: Kyle Vincent, Mitch Dowden, Cherisse Pippin, Wyatt Breaux and Brad Reaux.
Don't forget to wear green in observance of St. Patrick's Day, March 17th. 🍀
As always, thank you for everything each of you do to support our students and each other. Let's keep our momentum going through these final months and finish the school year on a high note. Together, we'll continue to make a difference, and together, we'll thrive.
Stay motivated, stay positive, and let's make this spring a time of growth and success!!
