Early Voting Starts Monday - AISD Bond & Trustee Elections
Early voting starts Monday, April 22 in the Argyle ISD Bond & Trustee Elections! Voting times this week are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. There are five locations in Argyle ISD available for early voting. As a reminder, registered voters can vote at ANY location in Denton County during early voting.
- Denton County ESD No. 1 Fire Station - 511 Gibbons, Argyle
- Bartonville Town Hall - 1941 E. Jeter Rd., Bartonville
- Denton Fire Station No. 7 - 4201 Vintage Blvd., Argyle
- Denton County Southwest Courthouse - 6200 Canyon Falls, Flower Mound

Welcome New Hilltop Elementary Principal - Robyn Campbell!
We were very exciting to welcome new Hilltop Elementary Principal Robyn Campbell to the district on Monday. She was approved by the School Board during a regular meeting and will begin her new role in July.
Mrs. Campbell replaces Dona Lumsden, who will be transitioning to Principal at Argyle Middle School next school year. Campbell brings a wealth of public education experience as a teacher and administrator at the elementary level. For the last 11 years, she has been the Principal at Bernice Chatman Freeman Elementary, including a Spark STEM Academy, in Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD, accumulating 23 years of service at CFBISD.

🎈Hilltop will host a MEET & GREET for Mrs. Campbell on Tuesday, May 7 from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Hilltop cafeteria. All Hilltop Eagle families and community are invited to attend.

The Cross Timbers Gazette hosted the Argyle ISD School Board Candidate Forum on Wednesday at the AHS auditorium. Thank you to those who attended and we appreciate The Cross Timbers Gazette for leading and moderating this event.
The event was live-streamed and the video is available on The Talon News YouTube Channel.
The Trustee election includes two places on the ballot. All candidates were asked a series of questions regarding a wide range of topics. The candidates included Place 4 - Josh Pezzuto and Rich McDowell and Place 5 is Dr. Leona McDade (incumbent) and Wendy McCue.

School Board Briefs - April 15 Meeting
Message from Superintendent Dr. Courtney Carpenter & Board President Sam Slaton
Our Board of Trustees conducted the open portion of the regularly scheduled monthly board meeting at 6:00 p.m. President Sam Slaton established a quorum. We began our meeting with a group of special guests from Argyle West Elementary as they led us in our Pledges to the Flags and Moment of Silence. We loved having our Eagles join us!
Following the call to order, we had a special recognition for our inaugural graduating class of Eagle Ambassadors. We had 36 community members attend the required sessions over the course of this year. We are so proud to have this class of Eagle Ambassadors and look forward to a new class next year!

AHS Color Guard Hosting Auditions - May 1-3
The AHS Color Guard will hold auditions for the upcoming marching season on May 1-3 from 5:15-7:15 p.m. in the AHS band hall. If you are looking for a fun place to spin, dance, perform, travel, and compete, then we’ve got a spot for you!
Auditions are open to all current 7th and 8th graders, as well as all current 9th-11th graders, and no experience is necessary. Please contact Ms. King at erica.king@argyleisd.com, or scan the QR code for more information."
AHS Theatre Hosting Murder Mystery Tonight!
The Argyle High School Theatre Department presents Murder At The Malt Shop on Saturday, April 20. Tickets are $35 apiece and include admission and dinner. The event will be held at the AHS auditorium.

Boys & Girls 3rd - 12th grade division will be played Friday, May 3 (4:45 p.m.). Men & Women open divisions to be played on Saturday, May 4 (8:45 a.m.) - 3-game guarantee. STATE BOUND: Boys & Girls Golf Teams Moving Forward
The Argyle Eagles & Lady Eagles golf teams are moving ahead to the UIL Class 5A state tournament!
The Lady Eagles punched their ticket with a second-place finish at the Region I Tournament in Lubbock. The outstanding finish included Ana Edwards making a hole-in-one on a par 3 from 100 yards!! The Lady Eagles will play in the state tournament on May 5-6 in Georgetown.
Team members include: Alex Mara, Ana Edwards, Colbie Moses, Kate Rendon and Ryan Purczynksi.
The Eagles started the week by winning the Class 5A Region I tournament and were led by regional champ Ethan Payne. This marks Argyle's 11th consecutive trip to the state tournament.
Team members include: Ethan Payne, Ajay Frank, Nathan Anderson, Cooper Jensen and Charlie Dickerman. The state tournament will be held April 29-30 in Georgetown.
Good Luck Regional Track Qualifiers!
We are wishing all the best to our Argyle High School Region I track and field qualifiers. They are competing this weekend in Lubbock. Go Eagles!!
Eagle Football Spring Practices Underway!
The Argyle Eagles football team started spring practice this week! The Eagles are coming off another successful season and will begin work for the 2024 season!
Practices will be held through May 14. The first two weeks the Eagles will practice four days a week in the mornings.
