Our school is a buzz of excitement as we prepare for our Christmas Concert tonight! Students have been working hard, and are excited to share their Christmas Cheer! Tomorrow is a PD Day for our students, so please accept these highlights of the week to come, with some secret surprises all week long!:
Thursday Dec 12
-St. Mary's presents "A Christmas Yarn" Christmas Concert! School doors will open at 5:30pm with participating students to be in classrooms at 5:45pm at which point gym doors will open for seat selection. Please note, parking can be tricky, so we encourage you to plan accordingly. While you're waiting, be sure to support the Booster Club's silent auction located in the Library, the Church's table selling Cook Books and the Grade 6 Candy Gram table! All of these centres will be open before the show, during intermission and for a set time after the program. The church and candy grams will require cash for purchase.
If you're unable to make it to the concert tonight, we invite you to watch the live stream we will attempt on our Facebook page. Please note, the quality may vary as we’ll be streaming from a phone—but we’ll try our hardest to bring you the magic of the evening!
Friday Dec 13
- PD Day! Students can enjoy a day of rest following the excitement of the concert, as our teachers gather to work on professional development and wellness.
Sunday Dec 15
- On the Third Sunday of Advent, we light the pink Shepherd's candle, representing JOY!
Monday Dec 16
- Hats ON for Christmas! Our Advent Adventure continues with some festive fun! We encourage all students to wear their most creative, wacky or fun Christmas hat to school!
-Grade 1 will enjoy a "Rocks and Mocs" presentation.
Tuesday Dec 17
- Twin Tuesday! Grab a friend (or two!) and dress alike to show off your matching holiday spirit, Whether it's festive sweaters, Christmas colors or fun accessories, we can't wait to see you double the holiday spirit!
Wednesday Dec 18
- Tinsel Toes Silly Sock Day! Break out your wackiest, most colorful and holiday themed socks to spread some Christmas cheer, from head to toe!
Thursday Dec 19
- Ugly Sweater Day! Show off your funniest, most over-the-top holiday sweater! Let's make it a day full of festive fashion and Christmas Spirit!
Friday Dec 20
- Faith, Feast, Fun! We'll begin with a beautiful Mass at the Immaculate Conception Church in the morning, then we'll head return to the school for our Annual Christmas Dinner made possible by the generous support of the GPCSD , who provided all the fixings for the meal. Huge thank you to Lefty's Catering for preparing this feast with love! To wrap up the day, we'll meet in the gym for fun and games, celebrating together like one big family Christmas! It's the perfect way to wrap up the day before we part for Christmas holidays!
