I hope this message finds you in good health. We want to encourage you to stay connected to our school community by continuing to look for updates posted to our Newsletter, Proviso East website, and Facebook page. Communication is also often sent via text and email.

A Red-Carpet Affair
Dear Students:
Please read the following list of expectations regarding our homecoming dance.
· Tickets will go on sale September 25th - Presale is $10 and it’s $15 at the door.
· The Homecoming Dance is from 6:30pm to 10:00pm. DOORS close at 8 pm No one will be admitted after 8pm NO Exceptions. There will be no in and out. if you leave you will not be allowed back in.
· All students Must have their school IDs with them to be admitted.
· Please wear appropriate clothing. You will not be admitted in improper attire. All coats and bags must be checked in at the social room. No bags or coats will be allowed in the field house
· The school reserves the right to deny admittance. If you think you have lost homecoming privileges due to certain behaviors, please check with you grade level principal before you purchase a ticket. YOU WILL NOT BE ADMMITTED IF YOU HAVE LOST YOUR PRIVILEGES.
· If you are bringing a guest, they must be pre-approved by your grade level principal or Mr. Davis (in room 240) and the sending school’s Dean or Principal. Please pick up your guest form from room 244. All forms must be returned by September 26th

Keeping Our Students & Staff Healthy
- We prioritize the health of our school community. We ask that you support us in this effort by allowing students who feel unwell to remain at home. With ongoing spread of illnesses such as COVID, Flu, and cold viruses, it's important that we work together to maintain a healthy and safe school environment. Here is a list of common symptoms to look out for:
- Fever
- Shortness of breath
- Sore throat
- Fatigue
- Congestion or runny nose
- Loss of taste or smell
- Nausea or vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Cough
Please keep in mind:
- Communication is key! Please notify the school if your student is unable to attend. This can be done by contacting our attendance office at (708) 344-7000.
- It is essential that your students is symptom free for 24 hours prior to returning to school.
- The Loyola School Based Health Center offers free flu vaccines. More information about our SBHC can be found here https://www.loyolasbhc.org/services.html and below.
Please continue to monitor your students progress via PowerSchool.
POWERSCHOOL HELPFUL TIPS:
1. You may find it easier to access PowerSchool using a laptop or desktop computer to create your Parent Account.
2. Please avoid creating duplicate student accounts. If you forget your credentials after creating an account, click on the Forgot Username/Password link on the bottom of the sign in page.
3. If you are unable to access your account please email chobbs@pths209.org for assistance.
4. If this is your first time signing into PowerSchool, the Proviso East High School access code is QQXK.
