Dear Parents,
It is hard to believe we are into April already, with less than two months of school left! The fourth and final quarter of the school year is underway. As spring fever takes hold, please reinforce to your child the importance of continuing to put forth their best efforts in the remaining weeks of the school year. Now is an ideal time to work with your child to set appropriate goals for the final quarter. Our window for students in grades K-5 to take the final set of MAP tests is April 14 - April 21. Teachers will share more information about scores from these tests at spring parent-teacher conferences on April 30th.
We welcome the warmer weather and new life heralded by spring! Spring also brings with it a special event for our second graders. They will receive the sacrament of First Communion on May 4. Please keep these students in your prayers as they mark these milestones in their faith journeys. On Holy Thursday, April 17, Second and Third Grade will participate in the shadow Stations of the Cross in the gym at 1:30. You are welcome to join us.
Students in grades K-5 will travel to the Great Lakes Science Center on April 29th. Parents are encouraged to participate in this field trip. There is no charge for students. However, there is an additional $8.00 adult admission fee and parking fee. The students and teachers will ride a Chippewa School Bus to the GLSC. Please let your child’s teacher know you want to join this fun opportunity before Thursday, March 27th.
As a reminder, there will be no bussing the week of 4/14 - 4/17. Our school is closed on Good Friday, April 18, and Easter Monday, April 21. Our spring pictures day is on April 24.
As you know, we are well into planning for the 2025-2026 school year. If you have not yet sent in your EdChoice scholarship forms, please do so or notify us of a change in your child’s school situation for next year. The Keeping the Faith transportation meeting between SPPS and SHJ is on April 10th. Transportation information for the next school year will be forwarded to parents through Digital Academy. If you have any questions regarding the changes for the next school year, please know that I am available to meet with you at your convenience.
We look forward to another great year of excellent education and service learning for our students and the opening of our Early Learning Center.
Have a blessed Easter Season.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Rauber
Principal

Invitation from the Legion of Mary:
Dear School Families:
The Pilgrim Virgin Statue Fatima has been making week-long visits to families in our parish. Please invite Mary into your home and experience the peace she brings. Say a few Hail Marys, a decade, or a whole rosary as a family, and see what gifts her presence brings to you. Know that you will be joining your prayers with families throughout the world with Pilgrim Statues. Know also your prayers will be greatly magnified when Mary presents these united prayers to Jesus, her son, Our Lord and Savior. Mary’s statue is available to school families. The Legion of Mary members will bring the traveling statue to your home, place her in your chosen place of honor for all to see and then pick up the traveling statue a week later.
If you have any questions please call the school office.
Sincerely,
The Legion of Mary
