Sweetheart Dance - Feb. 7th
Dance, Laugh, and Create Sweet Memories Together!
Enjoy an extra special evening with your little sweetheart and make amazing memories together! Our Sweetheart Dance will feature snacks, activities, and music to dance to! Our youngest children in the community are invited to attend. Children in grades PreK-5 are also welcome to attend with their special someone. We encourage you to put on your party clothes!

2025-26 Preschool Registration
Preschool for Ages 3-5
Byron Public Schools has a preschool program that is right for your child! We believe parents should have the ability to choose the preschool option that is best for their child. Therefore, we offer a variety of opportunities for students. Preschool programs are available to children who are ages 3-5 by September 1, 2024. This presentation is for adults who are interested in learning more about preschool programming for their child/children. If your preschool-aged child would like to attend with you and they are able to separate from you, they are invited to sign up for the Preschool Messy Art Add-on class. You MUST register them for the class to participate - only $5 per child.
The Next First Fridays at the Food Pantry is Feb. 7th
The Food Pantry will be open for drop in shopping on Friday, February 7 at 6-8 pm.
Stay Safe and Save
Driving is a key to independence, but it’s important to stay sharp on the road. The Safe Driver Class is designed specifically for seniors, offering invaluable tips to improve your driving strategies and increase your safety behind the wheel.
Next Class Date: February 10th
In this class, you’ll learn updates on traffic laws, ways to reduce driving distractions, and strategies to navigate tricky intersections. You’ll also explore how age-related changes, such as vision or reaction time, can affect driving—and how to adapt for safer trips.
An added bonus? Drivers aged 55 and older who complete the class will qualify for auto insurance discounts!
The course fee is just $15 (payable to the instructor) with a $5 nonrefundable facility fee to secure your spot. Remember to bring your driver’s license to class. Invest in your safety, confidence, and wallet today! Spaces are limited—don’t miss out!
Make a Clay Date for Your Valentine!

Looking for a unique and memorable way to celebrate Valentine’s Day? Join us for an fun Wheel-Throwing sampler class designed just for couples! In this fun and creative class, you and your partner will learn the basics of pottery wheel throwing while enjoying a relaxed atmosphere.
Our experienced instructor will guide you step-by-step as you shape and spin clay on the wheel. Whether it’s your first time or you’re just looking for a new shared experience, this class is perfect for connecting, laughing, and creating something special together.
What’s Included:
- Hands-on instruction for beginners.
- All materials, including clay, tools, and aprons.
- A chance to take home a small piece of pottery (we’ll fire it for you after the class!).

🍕 Feb 20: Homemade Pizza & Slushies
Come hungry for this class! Students will be working in small groups to make their own pizza - homemade crust and toppings of your choice! While our pizzas are in the oven we will make a tasty SLUSH drink! Hope to see you there!

🌞 March 27: It's Breakfast Time
If you like a good breakfast, this is the class for you! Students will get to choose between a homemade apple or blueberry pannenkoeken! You will be amazed at your puffy creation! Come hungry--we will have sausage on the side to complete our delicious breakfast!

This workshop provides detailed guidance for families on how to appeal to colleges for more financial aid and how to improve the likelihood of a successful appeal.
Becky Martin is the Post High School Planning Teacher at Byron High School. Her experience helping students navigate the college application process has been vast and varied. Join Becky, and other experts from my College Planning Team, as they share tips to help you and your future college student begin to plan for their education beyond high school.
