Half Day
After School Activities Limited Registration
- After School Activities have limited space and will be on a first come basis. Limited registration will open on Wednesday, December 11, at 6:00 p.m. Only one registration is allowed per student through Thursday, December 12. As per the agreement during registration, if more than 1 class registration is made during this time all classes will be canceled and refunded. You will be able to register again during the open registration period.
- After School Activities open registration for all remaining classes will continue from Friday, December 13, through Wednesday, January 1.
- Classes are $25 total per class (not per week) for all six weeks. Some classes will have an additional material fee as noted when registering.
- Classes have both a minimum and maximum participation number. If the minimum number is not met we will notify you and refund your payment. If the class reaches its maximum participation level there will be a message that the class is full and is no longer taking registrations.
- Classes begin the week of January 7 and run for six weeks.
- Classes are held from 3:40 to 4:30 p.m.
Prompt parent pick up is required at 4:30 p.m. or 103 Club students registered for that day can return to The 103 Club after class.
There is no bus transportation.

Tuesday Classes
Brain Games
Come join Brain Games for an opportunity to interact with friends, learn new games, build confidence, and strengthen your brain and strategy skills. We will play traditional games such as Sorry, Battleship, Othello, and Chess. Students will be introduced to newer games such as Rush Hour, Blokus Trigon, Proof, Qwirkle, Brix, Q-Bitz, and more! No prior knowledge of games is necessary, just a willingness to learn and a desire to have fun!
Volleyball
Have fun each week serving, bumping, setting, spiking, and blocking a volleyball while playing the game of volleyball.
Wednesday Classes
Cultural Couture: Discovering The World Through Paper Dolls
Inspired by District 103’s remarkable diversity, with families representing 67 countries and 45 languages, this class celebrates the vibrant cultural tapestry within our community. Through the medium of paper dolls, students will explore the rich traditions of clothing from around the globe. Each week, we’ll focus on a different region, learning about its unique history of cultural clothing and iconic garments. Regions to be explored include the Americas, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Far East and the Indian Subcontinent.This creative journey will not only showcase the beauty of diverse clothing traditions but also foster an appreciation for the global cultures that make up our school district. By the end of the class, students will have crafted a collection of paper dolls dressed in traditional styles, symbolizing the unity and beauty found in diversity.
Esports and Gaming Club (Grade 5)
Dive into a world of teamwork, strategy, and fun! Through thrilling games like Minecraft Education, Rocket League, Mario Kart, Super Smash Brothers, and more, students will build communication and sportsmanship skills while forming lasting friendships. Esports is competitive, team-based gaming that promotes problem-solving, collaboration, and resilience in a fun, engaging way. Beyond gaming, we’ll explore healthy habits, mindfulness, and cyber wellness, ensuring a balanced and enriching experience. This club is also a perfect stepping stone to experience what Daniel Wright Junior High School's official esports club has to offer, giving students a taste of the excitement and camaraderie awaiting them in the future. Join us to unlock your potential—all while having a blast!
Fantasy Football & Fantasy Basketball
In this class we will pick football and basketball players from their professional teams to be on our team ....and see which student's team scores the most. We will also talk about these sports and do sports related crafts each week. This is in a classroom and does not involve actually playing football and basketball.
Football Derby
Have fun kicking the football on offense trying to score points for your team or trying to catch the football on defense to score points for your team each week playing Football Derby.
Green Team
Come join the Half Day School Green Team and become a friend of the environment! We will learn about how we impact the earth, plan school-wide green events, make environmentally friendly crafts, plant, and so much more! Students who participate will also be in charge of helping with our school's composting program, plastic free lunches and recycling program!
Thursday Classes
Artist’s Workshop
Have fun each week drawing and coloring using your artistic talent and abilities. We will be playing drawing games at the end of class each week.

Jewelry Making
We will learn how to make our own jewelry to take home with us! We will make our own pieces, including bracelets and necklaces, using colorful and high quality beads and other findings.
