Dodge Traditional Magnet MS
August 2024
Hello Bulldog Families
Happy First Days of School!
Your teachers and staff are working very hard these last few days preparing for your arrival. This first month always goes so incredibly fast. Check out our upcoming events below.
We appreciate your assistance in getting all of our students ready for the first day by attending our registration day or dropping by our office. If you didn't get a chance to do that yet, no worries, we are here to assist your child and help them transition successfully.
The start of the year usually brings many students asking where to find their first class, long lines at lunch to scan their cards for the first time, and slow dismissal times. Please assure your students that they will have plenty of support staff present to help them get to class, be encouraged to go ahead and finish eating even if they are a few minutes late to their next class and be assisted when they are figuring out where to get their ride home. Thank you in advance for your patience.
Great news! Breakfast and lunch are free for all TUSD students this year!
The temperature is still near or over 100 degrees, so please make sure your child has a water bottle. We have multiple filling stations throughout the building.
Student computers will be distributed within the first two weeks of school.
PE uniforms can still be purchased from your PE teacher. Shirts - $10, Shorts - $10.
Dodge Jackets are available for $35. Forms are in the office for ordering.
Dodge Planners are available for $5 in the office.
Please see the attachment below regarding attendance submission in Synergy. Please submit the information prior to 8:30 to avoid the automated phone message.
We look forward to seeing you soon,
Ms. Meneguin

Tax Credit Opportunities
You can help our students get the most out of school years by making contributions through Arizona's tax-credit programs. Contributing is easy, and the impact is immense. This year, Dodge was able to support students with fees, attend events and competitions, attire for our new folklorico club, and sent students to Sky School.
Everyone you know who lives in Arizona can help improve education at your child's school by making a tax credit contribution.
Every contribution, from $5 to $400, makes a difference.
So please, ask everyone you know to Give Kids the Extra Credit.
Information
Dodge Student Dress Code
In addition to the TUSD Dress Code, Dodge has the additional board approved items.
Dress Code not uniforms – white, light blue or dark (forest) green shirts with collars and sleeves; black or khaki pants. Dresses or Jumpers must be solid colored in black or tan or match the dress code top garment color choices (listed above) in cotton or cotton twill blends. Dresses must have a sleeve or be worn over a dress code top. No pullover hoodies allowed. Jackets with college/university logos are allowed providing the jacket is still able to completely open down the front.
Drop Off/Pick Up
It is very important to us that our children are safe during arrival and dismissal. Please plan for the process to take longer than usual at the beginning of the year. Students are still navigating the campus and learning the process.
The bus bay is located at the front of our school on E. Pima St. There is no parent drop-off or pick-up at this location.
Parent drop off/pick up:
To use our main parking lot entrance, follow the flow of traffic around the lot. Students will enter and exit campus through the gate at the north end of the parking lot. Please watch for direction from our staff. It is our goal to get you in and out of the lot as quickly and safely as possible. Cars are not to pass or cut across the parking lot. We realize for the first few days this may be a longer process than usual. We appreciate your cooperation in advance.
We also have access for parent pick up/drop off on the east side of our campus on N. Sahuara Ave. When using this curbside access, we ask that you not have students cross the flow of cars. Instead pull up to the curb for them to safely get into the passenger side of your vehicle.
