14th Week Edition: Week of November 4, 2024
New Information
This is the start of the 3rd Six Weeks! Don't forget time change - fall back 1 hour.
Parents help your student remember ID Badge Daily! ID Badges are important for Safety and Security.
Parents we would like to ask that you check the EISD Dress Code Policy of your student prior to your student leaving the house. Students should be wearing items approved by our district.
Everman ISD Secondary Block A/B Schedule here.
Time Change
Daylight savings time ends on Nov. 3, when clocks get turned back one hour. The switch happens at 2 a.m. local time.
So, at 1:59:59 a.m. on Nov. 3, your digital clocks, like the one on your cellphone, don't jump ahead to 2 a.m., they fall back to 1 a.m. You will need to reset your analog clocks and any clocks that do not automatically adjust.
This means we gain an hour — unlike the springtime change to daylight saving time, when we lose an hour of sleep. It also means that the sun sets an hour earlier in the evening and rises an hour earlier in the morning.
Parents please remember that it will get darker sooner and to pick up students on time from school.
Plan Ahead for Traffic Delays

Food Allergies - Don't Share Food
My Classmate Has a Food Allergy. What Can I Do to Help?
Did you know that 1 in 13 children in the United States has a food allergy? That’s about two students in every classroom. Because food allergies affect so many kids, it is good to learn how to be a friend to a classmate with food allergies.
Students, both with allergies and without, can follow these recommendations to help their friends and classmates feel supported and safe.
Know that food allergies are serious. It’s hard to believe that foods you eat every day can hurt others, but it’s true! If someone with a food allergy eats something they are allergic to, they can get very sick and sometimes have to go to the hospital. Don't share food with other students.
Learn about symptoms of food allergies. Many symptoms happen right away – hives, a rash, stomach pain, itchy mouth. Other symptoms can take longer to show up. Let an adult know if you see someone with a food allergy symptom.
Never share food with classmates. This keeps all students safe. For students with food allergies, sharing food can be very dangerous. So don’t offer friends anything from your lunch or snack. Why? Because it may have something in it that could make them very sick or hurt them.
Leave extra chip bags, snacks, candies, and food items at home to keep all students safe.
