Permenter Cafeteria Staff Passes Audit!
The Permenter cafeteria staff was recently audited and passed with flying colors! This was their first audit under the leadership of Ms. Felicia Rauls. She and her team worked hard to make this happen and are thrilled to share the news.
Here they are pictured Friday in their “Merry and Bright” attire for the 12+ Days of Christmas. Please help us congratulate them!
A Note from the Principal
Holiday Greetings Permenter families!
- We have 4 days remaining in this fall semester and each minute is critical. Please encourage your scholar to make good choices to avoid discipline consequences that may impact their ability to remain in their classrooms.
- Fall final exams (including the DCCA #3) make up 15% of each scholar's semester grade. Doing well on all final exams whether it is for a core or elective class is important and impacts receiving credit for the course.
- Please heed our attendance reminders and guidance to ensure your scholars are present, submit absence notes appropriately when absences can not be avoided and attend each class throughout the school day. Your direct encouragement to your scholar is a must-needed partner that we welcome and need.
- Students will take DCCA #3 this week. There will be testing in some form each day and this grade will be critical not only for their six weeks averages, but also their fall semester grade.
- For our 8th grade students, we will be releasing eligibility requirements for 8th grade activities in January. Please encourage your 8th grader to make good choices so they will not lose the ability to participate in the traditional 8th grade activities our students look forward to each year.
- Christmas break for students is December 20th - January 6th. All students return January 7th with a renewed commitment to excellence!
- Please partner with us to ensure your scholar is in dress code daily inclusive of having a current ID badge as well as the appropriate backpacks, purses and shoes.
- For students participating in the Christmas spirit and testing week attire, please be sure your scholar is within the very detailed guidelines each day.
- If you desire to schedule time to visit your scholar's classes, please send an email to Dr. Lemons at katrina.lemons@chisd.net to communicate the request. Dr. Lemons will collaborate with you to schedule a time within the district guidelines.
- Until we meet in 2025, we wish you a very happy and peaceful Christmas break.
Faithfully,
Dr. Lemons
Principal, Permenter Middle School
