Weekly Updates
Week 31, Spring Trip Success!
Spring trips and performances were an incredible success! Not only did we recognized for our hard work, but we had some of our best performances to date!
Beginners: Congratulations on having your first CONTEST performance in the books! Not only did we do an incredible job, we came home with a bit of hardware for earning a SUPERIOR rating at the Pride of Texas Music Festival. Now, on to learning our third and final song, as we set our sights on the last concert of the year!
Prelude/Philharmonic/Symphony: Excellent performances were the theme of the day, as each group showed off incredible musicianship in their respective songs! In addition to a good performance, we had the opportunity to get some great feedback, and will take that with us as we work to polish everything for our final concert!
PISD Solo Contest
WHEN: Saturday, April 13th, Time TBA
WHERE: Prosper High School
With our recital night finished, I'm excited to share an additional opportunity for students to share their hard work! Each year, Prosper ISD Strings puts on a solo festival, where students may perform their solo for a judge. There, they will receive feedback about their performance and a rating based on how they did, with the opportunity to earn medals and awards! This is always a fun event, and is a great way for students to get feedback from other great educators.
Solo Contest reminders!
- Show up to PHS 20 minutes before you perform
- Uncase in the Cafeteria (go through the front entrance)
- Go to your room 5 minutes before you perform
- Wear something nice!
Concerto Contest reminders!
- Warm up and uncase in the BAND HALL
- Performance will be on the stage
