Dear Julian Curtiss Families,
As we approach the close of another school year, we're thrilled to acknowledge the progress and achievements of our students at Julian Curtiss.
We've just wrapped up a fantastic week filled with culminating activities and engaging parent events. One highlight was Wednesday night's art show, orchestrated by our talented art teacher, Taryn Dietrick. This year, Ms. Dietrick revamped the format, ensuring that each student's artwork was showcased, while also offering interactive art stations throughout the gym and art room. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Ms. Sanford's advanced orchestra students for serenading us with beautiful music as we entered the art show. It was a truly special community gathering.
Additionally, parents had the chance to peek into our foreign language classrooms on Thursday and Friday. We extend our gratitude to all who made time to visit. Attached is the "Path to Proficiency" document we use to track our students' language skills. Feel free to peruse it and discuss your child's progress with them.

We have 10 amazing Greenwich High School Interns working at JC these last 4 weeks of school. They have assisted with classrooms, field day, field trips, the art show, summer reading projects and more. We LOVE having them here at JC and it is important to note that five of the ten interns are Julian Curtiss alumni.
Please note that our students have just 12 days of school left, with the final day being June 18th, an early release day with dismissal at 12:45 pm.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend ahead!
Warm regards,
Trish McGuire and Matt Hartigan

Department of Human Services Fund
The Greenwich Department of Human Services Fund (GDHS Fund) is stepping up to ensure local children have proper footwear with their upcoming "Boots & Shoes" fundraiser. This initiative aims to raise funds to provide DSW gift cards to children between the ages of 5-15 from low-income families. These gift cards will be redeemable online and in store at any DSW location, allowing children to choose shoes that fit their needs and style. Gift cards will be distributed in August 2024, prior to the new school year. To donate, head to their website or read their flyer for more details.
