We will have exciting information about all that has been done, the conclusion of our fundraiser and some future thinking for what we want to accomplish next year. Now is the time to join. Also, please know that we would love for you to attend PTO whenever you are able, even if you aren't able to commit to every month. Any time you have is MUCH appreciated!

May Focus: Finishing Strong!
This month, we will be demonstrating all our skills and traits as we finish the year strong! We will have the opportunity to live the skills and traits while on our field trips, giving exploration presentations and through our daily living of classroom, recess and lunch room experiences. Even through state testing is over and the carnival is in town as we kick off Blossom, we still have a busy month of learning!
CES Support a Senior!
Vet Foster with her patient
Some of our littles had the opportunity to learn about and hatch baby chicks. One was born with leg problems. Our in-house vet Hartman was able to tape them on day 1 and vet Foster made this contraption. #helping #innovation

CES PTO Year End Summary
Canon Exploratory PTO is recruiting parents to join our meetings. We want parents and students to come to PTO meetings to submit their ideas on how we can use the funds we raise to improve our school features, support of students projects, and generally enhance the school experience for all of our explorers. Joining PTO does not require a long term volunteer commitment from parents. We only ask for participants to attend our monthly meetings, every 2nd Thursday of the Month. We meet from 6-7 pm in the Library of Canon Exploratory School from September to May.
Our PTO leads the Fall Fundraiser through our catalog company Cherrydale. This fundraising company is based locally in Colorado. This Fall we raised $12,872.85! The Santa Shop we offer to students also comes from this fundraising company, but we do not make a profit from this store. We sell all the items to the kids at cost to help spread holiday giving. Our PTO and school staff help us to gather donations for Spirit Lap prizes from local businesses. This spring we raised $16,126.36. We coordinate a weeklong Teacher Appreciation Week in May to celebrate and thank our staff. We purchased all of our new students and staff T-shirts this year. We offset the costs of field trips for students. We paid for technology improvements, new band equipment, playground equipment, curriculums, and classroom furniture purchases.
Why we need you:
We need more parents to attend our monthly meetings.
In the meetings parents vote on how we spend our fundraiser money.
We also want to hear from more parents about theirs or their students' experience so we can enhance the culture of our school.
This group is a great way to stay informed on what is happening at our school!
