Jarrell ISD Monday Memo
May 13, 2024
As we have celebrated all of our teachers this past week during Teacher Appreciation Week, we want to take a moment to shine a spotlight on Alexandria Krause.
Alexandria Krause is a 6th-grade teacher at Jarrell Middle School. For the past three years, she has created engaging lesson plans and innovative teaching methods that spark curiosity and critical thinking among her students. Those teaching methods positioned Krause as a top contender in a national teaching contest! She is a quarterfinalist in America's Favorite Teacher Competition.
Since the beginning of her teaching career, Alexandria has been more than just an educator. She has built and established strong student-teacher relationships, taking the time to mentor and guide students in their academics and extracurricular activities. Her dedication to their growth and learning is a testament to her commitment to education.
"I just want to do this for Jarrell and Brooklynn Miller. The kids and the community took a terrible loss at the beginning of the year, and I want to show the world that when you are faced with Goliath, you can't back down from a fight. It's been a stressful competition, but I'm always one to put up a fight," Krause said.
There are about 150 teachers competing against Krause. For her to move on to the next round, she needs more votes! You can vote as many times as you want in a 24-hour period.
Congratulations to Alexandra Krause! Let's help her bring home the $25,000 cash prize.
