Hi Trailblazers!

I’m thrilled to announce that Grinch Literacy Day is happening on December 18! Thank you all for your enthusiasm and support in making this event a success.

Each grade level has a designated activity—check the chart to see what’s assigned to your grade level. I’ll provide all the prep materials one week before to ensure you’re ready. At the bottom of the chart, you’ll also find some additional fun ideas for Grinch-themed activities.

This is your day to make it as Grinchy and creative as you’d like! Feel free to adapt the activities to fit your schedule. The only required timing is for fifth grade at 2:00 PM.

Our focus for the day will be on exploring character traits and the theme of the story, so let’s make it engaging and fun for the kids!

Thanks again for your participation—I can’t wait to see the magic you all bring to Grinch Literacy Day!

As a new process, please turn in your Trailblazer of the month certificates filled out to Gina. I will be reading out the names of the winners straight from the certificates. Please put a post-it note with the phonological spelling if the name is difficult to read.

Colleen created sight word certificates that will be available in the office this week. Please fill out your sight word recipients and add the certificates to the folder with Gina. Please reach out with questions as this is a new process!

Please make sure your address is current for W- 2s mailed in January. For changes, submit the Personal Info Change form in Etrieve no later than January 3, 2025.
