PETITIONS ARE CIRCULATING FOR GENERAL BOND REFERENDUM ELECTION
Shall the Board of Directors of the Clear Creek Amana Community School District in the Counties of Iowa and Johnson, State of Iowa, be authorized to contract indebtedness and issue General Obligation bonds in an amount not to exceed $65,000,000 to be used to build, furnish, and equip a new elementary school, including related site improvements; to build, furnish, and equip new playground spaces and to remodel, repair, and improve existing playground spaces at the District’s elementary facilities; to build, furnish, and equip additions (improvements) to the District’s middle and high school facilities, including fine arts space at the Middle School and the High School; career and technical vocational space at the high school; replace and improve the middle school roof; and related site improvements at the middle school and the high school?
NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE 2022-2023 SCHOOL CALENDAR
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Directors of the Clear Creek Amana Community School District will conduct a public hearing on the 2022-23 School Calendar. The public hearing will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at the Administration Building, 1486 Hwy 6 NW, Oxford, Iowa. At the time and place of the public hearing, interested individuals will be given the opportunity to express their views, both orally and in writing, on the proposed 2022-23 School Calendar. This notice is given by order of the Clear Creek Amana Board of Directors.
KATELYN WU ACCEPTED INTO THE UI STARTALK CHINESE LEARNING PROGRAM
CCA 8th grader, Katelyn Wu, is one of only 20 students accepted into The University of Iowa STARTALK Chinese Learning Program. The program, funded by a National Security Agency Grant, is specially designed for Iowa junior high and high school students who wish to learn Chinese. The grant funding is to promote critical language education, and will provide Katelyn a scholarship of approximately $6,800 to cover all learning costs. After successful completion of the program, she will earn 11 University of Iowa credits.
