Happy Summer!
Principal's Message
It is hard to believe we are approaching the end of another school year. With that being said, it's a time of reflection, celebration, and farewells. This year holds a special place in my heart as I had the privilege of entering Heritage alongside our 4th graders. It's been a journey filled with growth, learning, and unforgettable memories. As they move on to Charlton Middle School I wish each and every one of them great success!
Our school is more than just a building; it's a community built on the foundation of support and collaboration. I want to take this opportunity to extend my heartfelt appreciation to our incredible staff members. Their unwavering dedication to our students' well-being and academic success is truly commendable. Whether it's staying late to ensure the plans for the next day are perfect, lending a listening ear, or going above and beyond to create meaningful learning experiences, their commitment does not go unnoticed.
I also want to recognize the remarkable students who have made this year truly special. Your enthusiasm for learning, kindness towards one another, and willingness to lend a helping hand are a testament to the caring community we've fostered here at Heritage. Each one of you brings something unique to our school, and I am continually inspired by your resilience and spirit.
Finally, to the parents and guardians I want to thank you for entrusting us with the privilege of nurturing and guiding your children. Your unwavering support and partnership have been invaluable throughout the year. We all work together to provide a great supportive environment so all students can succeed.
Student Placements for Next Year
Many of you might be wondering about student placement for next school year. This information will not be available until August. There are many moving parts and considerations to make before placing students in classrooms. Teachers and I try very hard to ensure that all students have a friend in their new classroom and that their new teacher provides instruction in a manner that is best for the child. This decision includes input from the staff at Charlton Elementary as well for our new 2nd grade students!
Summer Hours
During the summer at Heritage, there is not always someone in the building to answer the phones. Although there will be summer programs here, Mrs. Lapierre and Mrs. Dumas do not work at Heritage in the summer. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at (508) 248-4884 or email polson@dcrsd.org. Email is always best.
