Spring Senior Final Exam Exemption Policy
Seniors graduating in the spring graduation ceremony must fulfill one of the options below:
A. An average of 90 or above in a specific subject (in AP courses this would be BEFORE the 10 points added) will exempt the student from that objective final exam only. Applicable performance exams will still be required and will count its full weight.
B. If a student has Honor Graduate status, meaning the student has an overall average GPA of equal to or greater than 90.000 as of the end of quarter 2, 2023. The student may exempt all objective final exams, regardless of their average in the class. Applicable performance exams will still be required and will count its full weight.
Students may NOT exempt Georgia Milestones that are required by the state of Georgia and our local school district. Seniors may only exempt the local and district test given on the final exam date.
A form will be available on MyPaymentsPlus for parents complete for any senior exempting an exam from May 3-May 17th. The form will give permission for the student to leave campus early. More information will be available as we draw closer to the end of the school year.
If a student is eligible to exempt an exam, he/she must turn in or pay for lost textbooks, Chromebook and charger to the Media Center to exam day. Seniors must have cleared all outstanding school-related fines from the Media Center, parking office, cafeteria, sports/clubs, etc.
If a student is eligible to exempt an exam, he/she may still choose to take the exam. If the student decides to take the exam, it will count the same as the final exam for all other students in the class.

Senior Letters
Senior Letters are an opportunity for parents, family members, friends, and/or anyone else to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments and character of the members of this year’s senior class. The letters can be a reflection of what the students have done over the years, including funny stories, sweet memories of the past, or advice to them as they move towards life beyond high school. This is your opportunity to honor your senior in this next move into adulthood.
We are encouraging parents, family members, and friends to write as many notes or letters as they
would like. These letters will be collected throughout the next few weeks and given to seniors at
graduation practice on Tuesday, May 21st. The letters may be postcards, small notes, or even typed
documents.
Please see the instructions below on how to send in Senior Letters.

This is where information about graduation, events, and other important opportunities will be posted! This is your chance to stay updated and participate in your senior year! Seniors, make sure you share the information on the Google classroom with your families.
Word of the Month: Google Classroom
Definition: Google Classroom is a blended learning platform developed by Google for educational institutions that aims to simplify creating, distributing, and grading assignments. The primary purpose of Google Classroom is to streamline the process of sharing files between teachers and students.
Many Peachtree Ridge teachers use Google Classroom in their classrooms to distribute, monitor, collect students' digital work.
Other uses for google classroom: Many clubs and sports have Google Classrooms to help organize information for students. When your student is a senior, they should join the Senior Google Classroom to stay up-to-date on all senior and graduation activities.
