Study Group - Open to All

This month we will be reading "Untold Stories": Cultivating Consequential Writing with a Black Male Student through a Critical Approach to Metaphor. No preparation needed -- we will provide pizza and the reading material.

Just email Katie kkline@ucmo.edu so we order enough pizza.

Summer Graduate Course

The GKCWP will offer ENGL 5990, Teaching Research and Writing in ELA for grades 9-12 and dual credit teachers, July 7; August 3-7 at Blue Springs South HS, facilitated by Maridella Carter and Sara Crump. Middle School Writing Conference

KC Storytellers

Please plan to support our 4th year of KC Storytellers at the Community Exhibition at the Plaza Library theatre. These high school students are working to build a united community through the sharing of their personal stories, and I know you will be inspired by them.


This year's group include the following districts: Independence, Raytown, Belton, Blue Springs, Lee's Summit, KCMO, Kauffman, Sion, KCKS, Piper, Rockhurst, Olathe, Blue Valley, Shawnee Mission.
