Inclement Weather Procedures
The safety of our students is our top priority. If severe weather conditions make travel unsafe or prevent schools from operating safely, we may cancel school. Decisions are typically made by 5:30 a.m.
Key Considerations for Closures:
- Snow: Light or moderate snow usually won't close schools; heavy snow may.
- Cold: Frigid temperatures affecting walkers or bus operations could prompt closures.
- Ice: Dangerous icy conditions are the most common reason for closures.
Closure notifications will be sent via text, email, the District’s mobile app, websites, and social media. Parents can sign up for emergency texts by texting “Y” to 67587. For more details, visit the District’s Emergency webpage.
Stay safe and informed!
