Lace up those shoes and dust off those wheels: Bike to School Day is BACK on Thursday, May 15, 2025!

This annual event is a great opportunity for families and students to try bicycling or rolling to school for

the first time or to renew a commitment to healthy and safe travel to school.

Remember, this event is not just for bikes! All active modes — including scooters, skateboards, roller

skates, and walking — are encouraged. Registered schools receive free resources to help encourage

and celebrate safe and active travel.

Bike to School Day is an event organized by Alameda County’s Safe Routes to Schools (SR2S) Program,

which is sponsored by the Alameda County Transportation Commission. For more information about the

Ms. Csider's ASL 2 classes celebrated some of our students' moms.

Our PE classes got to enjoy some innertube waterpolo.

Mr. Rankin's class learned about economics through monopoly.

There is one for Comprehensive Summer School (at LHS this year) and another for Del Valle Summer School. The google forms are live and ready for submission. The official registration window will stay open for 2 weeks (May 12).

Note: In order to submit a registration, you must be logged into an LVJUSD google account.

Note: The only students that will take classes at Del Valle are current Del Valle and Vineyard students, and current seniors from LHS/GHS who will need 10 or fewer units to graduate. Any senior needing more than 10 units of summer credit will need to enroll in Adult Ed.

It really takes support from our entire, amazing GHS Community to come together and pull off this SAFE and FUN night for our seniors!

Are you a freshman, sophomore or junior parent? It's never too early to see what Grad Night is all about! Plus it's critical to have Frosh, Soph, Jr parent volunteer support during the graduation ceremony time slots listed in the sign up! Having this help makes it possible for senior families to attend and enjoy the graduation ceremony.
