Attendance
As I said last week, for the first year, in quite some time, it is looking as though our attendance could fall below the national average. We continue to receive leave of absence of requests for prolonged periods which we cannot authorise.
This week's school attendance is 96.2%.
Whole school attendance so far this year is 95.7%
Early Years/Key Stage 1 class of the week is 1P with 99.7% attendance.
Key Stage 2 class of the week is 4BY with 98.6% attendance.
Once more, here is the link to the attendance page of the school website which has information on the Penalty Notice system. Ultimately, more than 2 penalty notices could result in the council taking you to court and a criminal record. We really do not want any of our families to have to go through this.
Carols by Candlelight
Carols by Candlelight is being held on Thursday 19th December at 6pm at St. Cuthbert's Church. The school choir is quite small this year so we really need as many Key Stage 2 pupils to attend to join in with their class song and the singing! A ping will be sent home next week where you can indicate whether your child can attend.
Christmas Fair
The Christmas Fair is quickly approaching and will be held on Friday 29th November.
We really appreciate any donations of filled jars, chocolate, bottles, teddies & soft toys and tombola prizes. Please take donations to your child’s classroom or school office. Donations can be brought into school on the following dates Wednesday 20th & 27th November and Friday 15th & 22nd November Thank you for your support.
Year 6 History Trip
Year 6 had a great time visiting Murton Park this week exploring what life was like during World War Two.
