The RAMS Report #16
The Week of December 16th, 2024
Principal's Message
Good morning AD Rundle Families,
Well the week before Winter Break is upon us! It's hard to believe how quickly the time has flown since September. Last week was a busy one at ADR with Band Concerts, Assemblies, Deep Dives and Learning Updates going home on Friday.
The pace will continue this week with our Deep Dive Learning Exhibitions on Wednesday, Activity Afternoon on Thursday and our Winter Assembly on Friday. Oh and lets not forget it is also a Spirit Week! So make sure to encourage your humans to dress up and participate in the winter fun!
This will be the last RAMS Report for the year. Expect my next one to come to you in the New Year with our updates moving forward. If you have any questions over the break please do not hesitate to reach out.
A special note from the North Pole, that our ADR eleves are expected to return this week, so keep an eye out as they tend to appear first thing in the morning before school in different spots each day.
Cheers to this week being full of holiday spirit and laughter!
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out.
Warmly,
Sarah

AD Rundle 90 Day Cycle
We invite our AD Rundle families to check out our 90 Day Cycle for the first three months of the school year. Our focus was on enhancing the experience of our students through implementation of our Flex Blocks this year. Flex has been an overwhelming success. It has been incredible to see our students engaged in areas of passion and to see that translate into new learning, relationships, and connections across the grades. Most Flex Blocks are set to change after the Winter Break, check in with your kiddo to see what they will be doing next term!

Family Support
I have attached a copy of the Free Food Programs in Chilliwack document from Chilliwack Healthier Communities. This is a great resource for families facing food insecurities or in need of additional resources.
Here is a link to the webpage https://www.chilliwackhealthiercommunity.ca/food This page has a link to the food asset map and will be updated throughout the year with any changes to the resources available within the community.
Chilliwack School District Accessibility Plan
Chilliwack School District is a rapidly growing community of learners that values and celebrates every student and staff member for who they are through the lens of super-diversity. In simple terms, super-diversity acknowledges that there are multiple ways of being in a school community that coexist simultaneously. It's more than just acknowledging diversity - it's recognizing that it is a multidimensional experience (such as one can be gifted, come from a different cultural context, and be a member of the 2SLGBTQI+ community) and that we all share the responsibility to create a safe and caring school community where everyone can see themselves as champions for the human spirit and human rights.
This website holds resources and information to assist with the work that we do and to celebrate the super-diversity of our community.
Parent and School Communication
Communication between home and school is critically important. We recognize that questions and concerns will come up throughout the school year. Please take a look at our AD Rundle Parent Communication information and the Chilliwack School District Parent Communication Guide for details.
